I was born in England, to a family of Russian emigrants. Along with my fellow researchers, I received a shared Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1982, for the research of prostaglandins; my discoveries also have an effect on pain relief, reducing blood pressure as well as on preventing heart attacks and strokes.
