I was born to a family of quite high intellectual capacities since generations, in Breslau (which was part of Germany back then, and as Wrocław, is part of Poland today). In 1933 I was suspended from my university duties in Göttingen. In 1954, I received the Nobel Prize in Physics for the research of the behaviour of subatomic particles, a research of matrix mechanics. Singer Olivia Newton-John is my granddaughter.
