I was born in Boston, as a descendant of Jews from my father’s side. Herman Kahn, the famous futurist is a relative of mine. I am the inventor of TCP, i.e. the Internet protocol. In 2005, I was also awarded the Turing Prize, the recipients of which are people who significantly contribute to the development of the science of information technology.
