I am an Oscar-winning director, actor, screenwriter, originally called Raymond Thierry Liebling. My mother died in a concentration camp, and I survived the Holocaust as a child hiding in the Krakow ghetto. My most famous films are Knife in the Water, Dance of the Vampires, Macbeth, Chinatown and The Pianist.
